Feline Stomatitis:

       Official name: Lymphocytic-plasmacytic gingivitis stomatitis (LPGS).

       Contagious disease caused by an immune/allergic reaction against dental plaque.

       Diagnosis: Expert Veterinarian diagnosis or CBC blood tests & Testing for FCV, FeLV, FIV.

       Important to start treatment early before inflammation moves too far back of the mouth.

       Symptoms: Painful, inflamed gums, bad breath, trouble chewing/eating, and drooling.

       Possible causes: Respiratory disease (FCV), Leukemia (FeLV), viruses (FIV).

       Treatment: antibiotics to prevent bacterial growth, steroids to control anti-inflammatory for minor cases. In extreme cases, extraction dental surgery or laser surgery if it spreads to the back of the mouth.
